The city of Thessaloniki, in the Macedonia region of Greece, is the second largest city in Greece after that of Athens, and is a beautiful part of the country to visit. From Thessaloniki, visitors can head off and visit all of the other regions of Mainland Greece, from towns duch as Alexandroupoli in the Eastern region of Thrace, to various popular destinations in Central Greece, such as Larissa, Delphi and Volos.
Travelling south from Thessaloniki, you will reach the capital city of Athens. From here, you can continue across the Corinth canal, and head into the beautiful region of the Peloponnese.
