Tinos Island - Cyclades Greece
Tinos is one of the most important islands in the Cyclades, as it is home to Church of Virgin Mary of Tinos, which attracts a huge number of visitors each year from all over the world.
With it's charming scenery and landscapes, Tinos is similar in terms of appearance to some of the other Cyclades islands. The whitewashed houses stand out proudly against the background of blue from the sea and sky.
There is a great deal of interesting places to visit and things to see when you visit Tinos. The various churches on the island are well worth visiting, as well some of the many interesting towns and resorts spread out around the island.
There is a great choice of hotels and accommodation on Tinos, but if you plan to visit mid August, it might be worth booking in advance, as the 15th August is the name day celebrations of the Virgin Mary, and the island is packed with visitors.
